What we collect
When you create an account, we store your email address and your choice about marketing emails. As you use the app, your learning progress is stored so you can pick up where you left off. If you ask for a free download such as the Preflop Pack, we store the email address you give, whether you ticked the box to get lessons by email, the page you asked from, and the link that brought you to the site.
How we use it
We use your email to sign you in and to send account-related messages, and to send you a download you asked for. If — and only if — you checked a marketing box (at signup, or when asking for a download), we may also send lessons, product updates and occasional offers. We do not sell your personal data.
Marketing emails & unsubscribing
We send marketing email only if the box was ticked when you gave us your address, whether that was at signup or on a free download. Outside the EU and UK that box starts ticked, and unticking it before you submit means we send none; in the EU and UK it always starts unticked, because there a pre-ticked box is not consent. We record which of the two it was. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time; we honor requests promptly. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect essential account emails, such as confirming your address or telling you about a change to your subscription.
Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us at support@pokerleap.app. Deleting your account removes your profile and associated data.
Cookies & analytics
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless product analytics (Vercel) to understand which features help people learn. Essential storage — the cookie that keeps you signed in and the local storage that saves your progress — always runs. In regions that require opt-in consent (the EU/EEA, UK, and Switzerland) non-essential analytics stays off until you accept it via the cookie banner; you can change your choice at any time.
Payments
Coach Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe, Stripe collects and stores your payment details — we never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of your subscription status (active, trial, plan) so we know what to unlock for you.
Service providers
We share the minimum data needed with providers that run the service on our behalf: Supabase (accounts & database), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional & marketing email), Vercel(hosting & cookieless analytics), Sentry (error monitoring), and Anthropic (the AI that powers coaching feedback). We don't sell your personal data. We take reasonable measures to protect it.
